Across the river Camel from Padstow is the small village of Rock.
Rock has been a centre for the discerning visitor who comes to enjoy its idyllic yachting and other water sport traditions. The surrounding countryside is idyllic and has been the favoured destination of many. In the church of St Enodoc in Rock is the body of the former poet Laureate Sir John Betjeman one of its more famous visitors.
In addition to the water sports, St Enodocs Golf Course completes the picture of a high quality place to visit. There are regular ferries to Padstow and at night even a river taxi to enjoy the culinary delights of the nation's top chefs in an idyllic location.
