Bodmin Jail

Cornwall is a land of contrast and certainly one of the darker attractions has to be Bodmin Jail. Visitors can visit the cells were many prisoners were kept in cramped conditions. The jail does not need any pyrotechnics for people to experience the chilling reality the former inmates had to endure. During the great war, the Crown Jewels and the Domesday book were stored there. the last execution at Bodmin was in 1909. Bodmin jail is a unique attraction in Cornwall and well worth the visit.
