  • "This is a well located property, quite close to Chester city centre but in a quiet residential location."

All the delights of the city are nearby, plus there is a large Morrisons supermarket about 7 minutes walk away. Whilst the house is adequately equipped it is below the standard of other Sykes properties I’ve used. The sofa and seating in the lounge is very uncomfortable, the diningt table is too low for the chairs provided, bedroom mattresses are all lumpy and pillows are of a poor quality. There is also no mirror in the bathroom, which means shaving in the downstairs loo. None of these things in themselves are deal breakers, but you add them together and they take a toll on the overall quality of the stay. On the plus side the owner’s agent was attentive and the house was clean.

We appreciate all feedback provided by guests and are grateful for the kind comments regarding the hosting and cleaniness. We will have a look to see if any improvements can be made in the areas highlighted although we would note that we have not received any negative feedback regarding the comfort of the sofa or beds previously. In respect of the dining table and chairs we are quite shocked by this comment, these were actually purchased as a set and as such the chairs were built to fit with the table. Property Owner

About the location

CHESTER

Liverpool 17 miles; Manchester 36 miles.

Chester has quite rightly been described as 'the jewel of the North-West of England'. Perhaps the most fascinating aspect of the city is that within a very small area there is evidence of every period of history - from the old walls and amphitheatre of Roman times, through medieval churches, Elizabethan timber-framed townhouses and Georgian terraces, to Victorian restorations and 21st century architecture. The city has much to offer the tourist, including excellent shopping in and around the famous Tudor 'Rows' and lovely walks along the Roman Walls, beside the River Dee and through the picturesque Grosvenor Park. Explore Chester's beautiful medieval cathedral, visit Chester Racecourse or spend a day at the world renowned Chester Zoo. Further afield, the stunning Welsh mountains and coastline, the quaint market towns and villages of Cheshire and the Wirral Peninsula with its first class golf courses, are all within easy touring distance, whilst frequent rail services make Liverpool, Manchester and the North Wales coast readily accessible.
