  • "Absolutely brilliant lodge to stay in."

Very relaxing and spacious. 10/10 for everything and would definitely stay there again. Lovely quiet site and the dog field was an added bonus too. The utility cloakroom entrance was very handy for all the wet rainy items (including drying off the dog) before settling down in the cosy living room. We took our own games etc but it was lovely to see the accommodation had various books and games if needed. Felt very homely.

Thank you for the lovely feedback. It's great to hear that guests have relaxed and enjoyed the lodge as much as we do! Catherine and Martin Property Owner

  • "We loved our stay in this lodge, absolutely nothing to complain about or could be improved in our opinion."

It had everything we needed and all the rooms were lovely. Perfect location for getting about. We have stayed in a couple of lodges over the years, the previous one being on white cross park and we much preferred the location, amenities etc that we got with yours. And the fact it was dog friendly was a big bonus as usually they are much more basic we have found. We have already discussed returning so looks like you will have a repeat customer here. Thank you

  • "My husband and I spent a few lovely days at Highfield Lodge near beautiful Troutbeck."

The Lodge is very cosy and is very well equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay. The beds are exceptionally comfortable and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The location is surrounded by magnificent scenery and is ideal for visiting Windermere and Ambleside. We have already booked to return later in the year.

  • "Just returned from a fabulous girls weekend at this lodge."

Lovely location and well-kept site. The beds were super comfy, and the bathrooms look brand new. After a day exploring, we decided to relax and have a night in. The kitchen was well stocked with ample cutlery, crockery and utensils. Plenty of glasses for the fizz and gin! Nice dining table and comfortable sofas so we could relax and watch a film afterwards. The decor is classy and modern and in the warmer weather it would be lovely to sit outside on the decking to eat and enjoy the views. As frequent visitors to The Lakes this is one of the more upmarket lodges that we have stayed in and we would definitely return.
