This traditional game of Cornish hurling on Shrove Tuesday dates back hundreds of years. Like the St Ives Feast, it is a rugby type game within the town that uses a small silver ball. In St Columb the game is for adults and tends to be rougher. It is also between 2 teams, Town and Country. It is also usually played again on the Saturday of the following week - possibly allowing time for some bruises to heal before adding some new ones!
