Trengwainton Gardens

Trengwainton Gardens are described on the National Trust website as Sheltered garden with an abundance of exotic trees and shrubs. This sums up these beautiful gardens that are just North West of Penzance, near Madron and Heamoor. The name Trengwainton is Cornish for settlement of spring and the gardens sheltered aspects allow it to have a fabulous selection of flowers for a large part of the year. Certain specialist gardens include the Campbellii which has Magnolias that flower in March. The gardens are part of an estate owned by the Bolitho family one of the wealthier families of the area.

For anyone interested in horticulture or even just as a place to come and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere, this is an ideal destination.
